Making Knots in the Rope
For each knot made in rope this is how much it will use:
1 inch rope will take 10 inches for each knot made in rope.
1/2 inch rope will take 6 inches for each knot made in rope.
1/4 inch rope will take 3 inches for each knot made in rope.

Here is an example of Interstar Rings placed on ropes. The inside hole
diameter
of the Large Interstar Rings are 7/8" and they go on the 1 inch rope and
is snug fitting.
The hole of the Small Interstar Rings are 3/4", this shows you an example
of what can fit on to the ropes. Many of our items fit on the 1/4" rope.

Photo is showing how the strands are on each of the rope sizes. You can use as whole rope or you can unravel it to make smaller strands of rope making your rope length go further. When working with rope always tape where you are going to make the cut and cut in the middle of the taped area. This keeps the rope from unraveling. If you decide to work with smaller strands of rope, tape ends tightly to feed through the opening of your toy parts, once fed through and when done you can cut the tape off. Actual number of strands in each rope size is as follows: The Supreme Cotton Rope is a great safe rope as it is made especially just for parrots! |
