Broken feather?
« on: November 14, 2012, 07:11:36 PM »
Chante has a broken wing feather, I am not sure how he did it or how long it has been like that because sometimes it is laying under other feathers but sometimes it is hanging but despite his flapping it has not come out and it looks like the shaft is actually broken about 1/2" brom the base. The question is should I just leave it alone?

I take it that it is not an actual blood feather ... often you can take the feather and twist it at where the break is and twist it off or clip it with scissors there where the break is at.  I know it kind of bugs me when I see a feather broken and it is flopping about!!
