It is April 1, do hormones automatically turn off?
« on: April 01, 2014, 03:05:40 AM »
:wink1:  I know I know.....unlikely.... just that I have been dealing with hormonal Charlie who is on a rampage.....he is looking for more fun things to chew. I can hardly keep up. He seems bored with all of the chew toys (even though I have stocked up on his favorites), likes the lining under my chairs, has gone into bags with toys (same kind already in his cage) by chewing from the bottom, is checking out boxes in which toys came (trying to chew bottom of boxes seems challenging to him), is checking out corners of walls, is checking in closets......he needs new chewing excitement. I always keep my eye on him and gently say Where is Charlie or What is Charlie doing and he stops and comes to me. Also he does not want much in way of scritches and is more prone to bite.....so hoping today is magic day as hormone season is supposed to be from January to March :wink1: but I am sure there is no flip switch and it is gradual   :omg:

Yes Jan! Don't tell us that... My boy has been in this sexual funk too. Right now, even a bag of paper towels is excitement. LOL  :icon_mrgreen: Are you sure it's just beginning? I read the same as maxsmom, which stated from January to March.....  (Sigh!)

Is Eloy hormonal? Max is just a little older than Eloy and I wouldn't say he is nearly as bad as Charlie who is bonkers these days.

:embarressed: poor guy, he must be desperate!  Dobby just wants to fight me all the time, then the next minute, he is on my shoulder saying"Pretty boy!"  What a roller coaster ride!
