A few months ago I bought Russ Shade's book, The Practical Pionus. I got it at http://www.the-practical-pionus.com/ and I paid about $37.00 for it. A lot of the questions I see here and on other blogs are answered in his book. It is excellent. Well worth the money and it explains much of Carla's behavior. It just took awhile to get here.

I'm retiring at the end of the year and hope to someday go to Ecuador to see Bronze Wings in the wild like he describes in his book.
