I know Jason and he is awesome and a great speaker - anyone in the area should really go

Is there really a "complete" diet for birds? We cannot expect to replicate the wild diets to which our species have adapted, so what can we do?
We can offer as much dietary diversity as possible in an effort to satisfy all of the bird's individual needs. Though some whole foods need to be cooked, generally food in its raw, whole form is the best, most efficient way to cover all of the nutritional bases. This talk will focus on the variety of raw, whole foods that can be offered to birds, and some information may also benefit the other animals in your household.
Guest Speaker Jason Crean is a biologist, avid aviculturist and zoo consultant, specializing in avian nutrition and exhibit design. He is President of The Aviculture Society of Chicagoland, and moderates the Facebook groups Avian Raw Whole Food Nutrition, and Holistic Avian Care."
