Title: Hi from Sweden!
Post by: E on November 14, 2012, 12:53:07 PM
I live in Sweden and have a Pionus maximiliani Siy.
He is the love of my life, and my first Pionus. (but not my first bird)
I have been visiting this forum for some time and now I think it's time to become a member.
How many here are having Maxis and what are you doing with them?
Eloy is freeflying indoors and are doing some tricks. He is very good at that and is very active and playful too.

This is Eloy:

Welcome to the forum!! Glad to have you both here with us!  Eloy is very pretty looking and his eye rings sure are very white!  Nice birdie!

I've had Maximilians for many years and they are still my most favorite of the Pionus specie!

Awesome looking Maxi :hello1: I've had two now and they certainly are interesting critters. Nerd was with me 31 years and was over 31 when he finally passed and Lurch is a much bigger and obstinate version of Nerd who is about 7 or 8 now.
You should have a long term family member and friend there and thanks for joining and the great pics.

Is that you that wrote the Pionus text at http://www.pionusparrot.com?
If so I say thanks, :) because that was the first really nice thing I read about the Maxi.  (and fell in love)

Thanks! :) Sorry to hear about Nerd but nice that you have a new today.
Eloy is today already a very nice family-member. He is so kind and nice, (he is perfect!) and I hope he will stay at least for 30 years. <3

Beautiful fid!  The food on your table looks delicious!  You should invite us all for dinner.  :biglaughing:  My mother's family is from Sweden.  My Mor Mor was born on an island off the coast of Goteborg.  And my future son-in-law was born in Norway.  We both still have family in the "old country."   :hello1:
