Title: Age of bird
Post by: eshmirk16 on January 28, 2014, 07:44:08 PM
Does anyone know if there is a way to tell or find out how old a maximillian pionus is? We have adopted one but the adoption agency didn't know how old it was and the band (if there every was one) is missing from the birds leg.

Thanks!

Erin

No without any leg band info on the band, it would be impossible ... did someone check to see if he/she perhaps had been micro chipped? A vet with a chip reader can see if there has been one inserted... so when you take him in sometime, have them check on it.

He does look to be mature as far as the beak and eyes look.

Pebbles is pretty!
