Title: Molting age
Post by: Julie T on June 04, 2014, 09:59:19 PM
Well, I'm curious now at what age do MOST Pionus have their first molt? Raven is already a week past 9 months old and not a single feather has dropped yet. The BW I had before who passed away at one year old was about half in adult color by then. I don't remember when she started the molt, but I've heard that 9 months and nothing yet could mean he's a late bloomer. If you've had a juvenile, at about what age did they first start to molt into adult color?
