Absolutely WONDERFUL!!!!  You have a very nice way of handling him, and he is so calm :)

Great job with so much training. What type of treats do you feed? Definitely gives me more training ideas.

He gets different threats, often dry fruit but also safflower, sunflowers and nuts.

Thank you! ♥ He loves to be trained and he has easy to learn. At the moment he can do 21 tricks.
The time depends on the trick, to turn around took one day and to "spin" took almost one week. To go in the tunnel took him 2 days to learn.
Our newest trick is: Lift wings, hold up feet so I can trim them, and to hold on to my finger and hang.
I love to train him! ♥♥♥

May I ask how you train Eloy? Do you use a clicker? Or just treats?

No I don't use a clicker, I want both hands free so it's easier without.
And lots of good threats.  :yummy: Eloy loves almost everything and are very active.

Yes he seems very active and very happy. He is adorable.

I really hope my Max can become just as happy in time...

So how did you start out with the tricks? Just by asking him something very easy and rewarding him with a treat or...?

I know Max and I have a long way to go before we can even think about training and tricks but I find the topic very interesting.

I'm sure your Max will be happy when he realize that he is loved and taking care of. ♥ But they are very fragile and needs time to settle in so just be patient and take it really slow. :-)

Eloys first trick was to step up, and it's very easy just to holding the threats so he need to step up on your arm to get it.
After that I learn him to step up to a perch so I easy could get him back in his cage. (he was not tame at 12 weeks, and I have my parrots free flying.) And after that we just continue. :-)
